What my family and I are doing to foster wellness – Earthing

Welcome Back! Thank you for joining me and my family on our second blog.

By now, we should all be familiar with the four reasons why we can leave our homes during this pandemic. One of these reasons, which my family and I fully embrace, is exercising.

In this blog, I will share with you another strategy that my family and I have been utilising for years to maintain good health and well-being. This strategy will also allow you to feel more connected while you exercise!

The positive effects of exercise, both in promoting health and treating various diseases, are undeniable. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director General of the World Health Organization (W.H.O.), even supports exercise as one of W.H.O.’s five strategies for maintaining health and well-being during our current crisis.

TIP: The W.H.O. recommends 30 minutes a day for adults and 1 hour a day for children.

When we head out of the house to exercise, we not only get the physical benefits, but we also connect with something that is often overlooked—the surface on which we exercise!

Now, here’s a question for you: What freely accessible surface is surprisingly beneficial for promoting and maintaining health, improving performance, and preventing disease, and it’s right within your reach?

Answer:

The surface of the Earth itself!

Emerging research

Emerging scientific research has unveiled numerous positive effects of direct physical contact with the abundant supply of electrons emanating from the Earth’s surface. While certain exercises necessitate the use of appropriate footwear, the rubber soles of sneakers effectively insulate you from the Earth’s surface. If you must wear sneakers, do so with the understanding that once you’re done, it’s time to “Earth” yourself! There has never been a better moment to kick off your sneakers and connect with the Earth. As a family, we thoroughly enjoy grounding ourselves and reveling in the Earth’s embrace.

Getting grounded for normal functioning

Earthing, also referred to as grounding, is an essential aspect of maintaining your health and vitality, much like breathing fresh air, staying hydrated, eating nourishing foods, and basking in sunlight. In a thought-provoking review article titled “Earthing: Health Implications of Reconnecting the Human Body to the Earth’s Surface Electrons,” it becomes evident that the Earth’s negative potential fosters a stable internal bioelectrical environment that supports the proper functioning of the body’s systems. Alas, this often overlooked connection with the Earth’s surface can have a profound impact on our overall well-being.

Personally, I’ve noticed a remarkable pattern among the clients who seek my assistance in improving their energy levels and overall mental and physical health. The majority of newcomers appear to have disregarded Earthing as a valuable strategy for promoting health, with many having gone months without enjoying the simple pleasure of barefoot walks on the Earth’s surface. Fortunately, this all changes when they choose to invest in their well-being and embark on my unique In Focus 3-step process.

Allow me to share what my family advocates and what I also emphasise to my clients: reconnecting with the Earth is vital for a vibrant life! Should you desire further evidence to support this claim, the aforementioned article clearly suggests that our increasing disconnection from the Earth might be a significant contributor to physiological dysfunction and general unwellness.

In summary, it becomes evident that our connection to the Earth is paramount when considering strategies to improve overall vitality and health. This, combined with the numerous benefits of exercise, makes for an irrefutable conclusion. It’s simply a no-brainer!

The take-home message from my family to your family is for you to consider getting barefoot and start Earthing yourself on grass at a park or sand at the beach.

Tip: Daily Earthing for a minimum of 30 minutes is recommended.

I absolutely adore grounding myself on the lush grass, especially during the tranquil morning hours when it’s still adorned with the glistening dew. Here’s a bonus tip: bring along a towel to gently dry your rejuvenated feet afterward.

For those who haven’t yet had the pleasure of experiencing my unique three-step process offered at In Focus, I invite you to reach out to me for more information by clicking here. There has never been a more crucial moment to prioritize your health and well-being! Just like me, I believe you shouldn’t leave your family’s health and wellness to chance.

In my upcoming blog post, I will reveal another strategy that my family and I are implementing to maintain our well-being and in particular our focus!

Until then, our family sends warm, energetic hugs to yours.
